The summer can be very intimidating. The summer heat creates the need to wear shorter  and lighter clothes, which creates the opportunity to show off your physique. The downside is you  are not as fit as you would like to be, you lose the interest of wearing the cute summer apparel. I totally feel you. So this summer lets start the movement to get you into a sexy outfit. Here is what you will do…

  1. Find an out fit that is about one to two sizes smaller than were you are now.
  2. Make sure it is an outfit you can visualize yourself in.
  3. Find an eating regimen you can work with. The key to weight loss is changing your habits to healthier alternatives.
  4. Designate an hour a day to working out. Whether at home, gym, park, or a friends house find an activity that provides cardio and toning benefits.
  5. Stay focused on the goal. Be realistic losing 10 pounds can be achieved in 30 days. Attempting to lose 30 pounds in 30 days is excessive and can lead to discouragement.
  6. Research for what suites you. if the workout is not challenging you, find something else. That goes for your meal plan as well.

We failed to keep our New Year’s resolution.  Well, I have good news.  During the entire summer I’ll be tweeting interesting facts and tips on how to stay fit. This may come as no surprise to you, but most Americans are battling obesity. The issue has become an opportunity for many fitness organizations to launch campaigns that provide awareness and guidance on how to live a healthy life.

Myfitnesspal is a calorie counter that helps alleviate the burden of having to know the calorie intake of everything you eat. You just add the information into the calorie counter and everything is calculated for you. The program is available through iTunes, Android apps, and through the website.


The calorie-counter app is available through the iPhone, the Web, Blackberry, Android and iPads. The program has over 250,000 listed in their database.

4. provides a free diet and weight-loss journal that is available on the Web, iPhone or iPod. It gives you the opportunity to track your progress and count you calories for absolutely free.
